3-D printed boat races

After returning from our overnight adventure, we had an opportunity to do a 3-D boat races.

The Final Day

After packing up and cleaning g the cabins, everyone met for breakfast, which included biscuits and gravy, fruit, scrambled eggs, yogurt and granola. A quick student survey took place and students headed out  to do some final reflections and games. The annual tie dye group photo occurred and we loaded the buses and departed at 10:58am. Back at school we will eat lunch  and spend the day reflecting on how each grew/matured as an individual, made connections to nature, and what was learned scientifically by attending this 4-day experience.

3rd Day: Evening/Night

Today the other school that was up here left and we had the entire Gaga pit to ourselves. A full hour of Gaga ball took place with some competitive games. Dinner was bbq chicken sandwiches, cooked carrots, Caesar salad, and a cinnamon roll for dessert. The night activity was called “Science in Action” and involved the scientific method at five different stations.

Day 3: Upper Challenge Course

After eating lunch outdoors in the fresh air and under the pine trees all the group strapped on their helmets and put on harnesses. They then headed to the low ropes courses and eventually to the upper ropes challenges.

Day 3: Midday

This morning consisted of small challenges on flat terrain. The goal is for groups to learn to communicate with each other and to think outside the box to complete tasks. Some groups were even able to start preparing for the low ropes course this afternoon.
