The Final Post
With it being the second to last day of the school year, this will be the final post. Today, after a wonderful field day, we explored volume of cylinders. Using pi and the formula for area of a circle, students found the area of the base of different cans. They then multiplied this by the height of the can to produce a volume in cm cubed. Finally, they filled the can with water to see how many mL of water is its capacity. Since we know 1mL-1 cubic cm, the numbers should match. However, we learned that the ridges in the cans can throw this off a little.

Living Museum
Today students put on a museum. After a month of research, writing first person point of view essays on a person in history who positively impacted America, and then memorizing the content, students put a show on for the school.
