Writing with Quill Pens
We went back in time today, after learning about the Declaration of Independence this week. Today we took either a turkey feather or a goose feather and crafted like they did during the 1770s and turned it into a quill pen. Using black ink, students practiced writing words and letters. Next, they used the quill to write a simple assignment about what was learned this week.

Moon Art and Welding
We are coming along nicely on our moon art. Today students cut a hole in the canvas so a light can be inserted behind the moon. The 3D printed moon was also glued down to the canvas from the inside. A finger with glue on it had to be inserted through the cutout hole and applied inside the moon.
Additionally, some students got to start making their brands for our second art project. Each student designed their own brand earlier and are now cutting metal and welding them together. The first nine turned out awesome.

Collaborative Art
Wow! Our collaborative art project is turning out AMAZING. Lynette Kenney, our art parent, came in all day and worked with two kids at a time to complete the painting. Next, we print a 3D moon to fit the scale of the painting and wire it to LED lights. Things are going in the right direction!
