After learning about the historical events associated with General Santa Anna, Texas, and the Alamo, our class took on the task of making a scaled model of the actual mission/fort. Using the scale 1 foot = 1 centimeter, students outlined the structure with accurate measurements on foam core to create the basic outline. Next, walls were created out of brown construction paper, also with accurate heights to scale.
