Welcome to 5th Grade
Welcome new students and parents to Dr. Brock's fifth grade class. I look forward to officially welcoming each new fifth grader to class on August 8th! Here is our school supply list for this year.
• 1-2 black Expo (dry erase) markers
• 1 long, clean, old sock (personal white-board eraser)
• Box of Kleenex
• Bottle of glue
• 1 box of colored markers (regular box- placed in classroom bin of markers)
• ONE 3-ring binder (1 ½ inch)
• At least 8 tabs (dividers for ringed binder)
• Red correcting pen
• Sharpie permanent marker
• A few pencils
• At least a 4 GB USB drive
• One package of lined paper (please don’t open it)
• One 70-100 sheet notebook
• $5 for class magazine (Time for Kids)
• One great attitude and a sense of humor

I am glad that you have taken some time out and decided to inform the new comers and our old students about the equipment and supplies they would have to provide for the first lesson. I guess it wouldn’t hurt to tell to remember to have fun on their first day at school. Perhaps, they don’t need to purchase essays for college yet since they are only in the fifth grade, but they wouldn’t mind to know about the opportunity I guess. I am looking forward for the follow-up on the news and maybe some photos of you and your kids.
