End of Day 2 at JOS
As the afternoon progressed, as rain sprinkled down on us, students didn't let that get them down. Groups headed into the forest, with at least two groups making it to the top of Bald Mountain. On their way, one group was able to take a side trip to a quartz outcrop. Some groups were able to try their hand at the sort of archery. At the challenge course, some groups made it to the high ropes course, with two groups working so well together that they were able to climb the Alpine Tower. After dinner, pasta and a favorite to many students, Trail groups headed into the forest to experience the "night experience". Without flashlights, they learned about adaptations of nocturnal animals. A highlight was some of the science dealing with the eyes and light.
