Medieval Mayhem and Trebuchets

We combined PE with science this afternoon. Students rotated from a Medieval Mayhem game created by Dr. Brock and Mr. Brisbois which was similar to dodge ball, but involved six catapults. Students had to run and get cones without getting hit by a "ball of fire" (cushioned ball). At the trebuchet station, students investigated different variables with real trebuchets. In returning to the classroom, a pendulum lab was executed which will connect back to the science of trebuchets in tomorrow's discussion when groups share data they collected.
