Students Teaching Students

As part of Harmony, our school program to build better relationships for social and emotional growth, we spent the last two days partnering up with this week's buddy in class. Yesterday each student though of something he or she wanted to teach their buddy. The buddy couldn't know how to do it and had to agree that they wanted to learn it. After the topic was selected, one student explained to the other how to do the task while their buddy wrote down the materials and steps. Today, items were brought in and each student took time teaching their buddy how to do the task. It was such a team building opportunity. Each person learned more about the other while also developing a deeper relationship with their buddy.
